Agave inaequidens - Raicilla - Lechugilla

A large, diverse Agave of varying size found in the elevated regions of central and southwestern Mexico, thriving at altitudes ranging from 1800 to 2400 m (6000 to 8000 ft). It produces a circular cluster of wide, greenish foliage up to 3 meters (10 feet) in diameter. This plant thrives in moderate temperatures and benefits from regular watering and fertilizing during summer, and is also tolerable of cold and frost in winter.
